Cars you’ve smoked ?

Even have to be careful in our poverty pack 51 at the light over here ..... they have both red light cameras and speed cameras ..... It has now become known as "The EV Tax" because they are so quick off the mark.
I can't imagine holding onto my licence if I was ever to lash out and buy an XPower, the temptation to smoke cars in the 51 is bad enough ....

Unless someone has something really really quick and they are full on ready for the traffic light grand prix, there is not much that will pull away and reach legal speeds quicker than an X power with a ready to go for it driver.
Also, there probably aren't many drivers who actually know what the XPower is, or how quick it is, so they're unlikely to be ready for a duel, advantage XPower. :)

Just wondering... has anyone BEEN smoked in their xpower?

Never been smoked. Always been the 1st away. But have given up, a few times, when I can see, they are not gonna give up, and are prepared to go to silly speeds. I will usually smoke, um up to about 60, then back off. To me that's job done anyway. When I first got the X Power I was smokin, about 10 a day. Now I'm down to about 2, much better for my health and certainly my License. But it never, gets boring. 😉🙂👍

Most have no clue what it is till they get rolled not to mention the sleeper look of the X power makes it look nothing powerful ..

Has its pluses and minuses most who don’t know don’t bother and the one who do are either scared of being upstaged that their 100k plus bmw merc will get spanked and don’t want the embarrassment ..

Or try and most of the time fail !!

Margaret loves to take out the cars in front and the B double truck as soon as there is a spot long enough to fit back in doing a lot more km/h than the truck ..... she knows the spots where the MG4 has the advantage and the cars that had just passed her, way above the speed limit, just sit there, stuck behind the truck, mouths hanging open

I prefer to lead them on as they keep approaching from behind trying to keep up with the electric buzz box that seems to leave them for dead as we leave each corner ..... they will finally come down to a corner, waiting for the brake light so they know to slow down, and then realise at the last minute, they are going way to fast to make the corner without their co pilot giving them an earful if not a beating ..... the ability of the little 51 to accelerate enough to hold stability once the apex of the corner is reached really comes as a surprise to the V8 Fords and Chev/Holdens ...... the turbo 6cyl Fords had already passed me ages back, they are incredibly quick .... though, I doubt any of them were factory spec ....

A lot of the times I think it the fact they know their going to lose so after the first spanking their less likely to come back for more ..

Had the odd P plater ( new license holders ) in there v8 commodore or falcon that get owned off lights but keep going faster and faster

20 years ago I would do the same now I’m old and value my license a little more 🤣🤣

The $$ amounts have gone through the roof and the points system has become savage since my early hoon days ... but that is a tad more than 20 yrs ago .... you just had to be able to out run a Mini Cooper S and later a Torana GTR XU1, the Mitsubishi Cordia was stock, so not a real challenge.
The GTHO was reserved for the New tollway/raceway from Horsby to the Gosford turn off ..... they held the crown because they had better ratio diffs and no rev limiter in the Police special version  It was fun to watch them blow them up though, over rev valve bounce, bent pushrods and lifters jammed in the block cracking the cast so oil pumped into the cooling system ..... all with maybe 20,000 miles on them

I rode a few very fast motorbikes back in those days  Have a number a fractures and scares to show for it, and had a slant 6 VC Valiant that ended up have a complete engine remanufacture every 10,000 miles, if I'd built a good one ..... the factory model might have only revved to 4,500 rpm on a good day, but 8,000 rpm seems to be beyond the capabilities of keeping the crankshaft in the block .... or in one piece .... or the valve heads and the stems remaining attached .... or the pistons from cracking the cyl walls and the list goes on .... each time an item was strengthened, the next in failure chain became evident ..... but it could outrun a 265 Valiant Charger and a 350 Chev .....
