Cars you’ve smoked ?

If you are going to spend big money, then

The Lucid Air Sapphire is a top-tier luxury electric sedan priced at approximately $249,000–$250,500 in the US. While not officially available in the UK with right-hand drive until 2026, this pricing places it just under £200,000 based on currency conversion. It features a 1,200+bhp tri-motor powertrain and is a direct competitor to high-performance EVs.

Now, these things are wicked fast

I could have a fantastic e Berlingo for each day of the week for that - AND the cash to run them too.

But is it fast :ROFLMAO: Anything the embarrasses a Mclaren and a Tesla Plaid is mind numbing quick ...... and runs on free solar fuel .....

Yep, that would probably do it. But he did say not much would pull away. That's definitely one of um. 🙂👍
If we are going to be pedantic the ex 30 twin, smart Brabus, Kia EV6 GT, seal excellence all available for 30-35k

Agree, they all would certainly give it a run, for its money. And all those plus the Tesla 3 Performance where on my list, as they are all nice motors, before i settled on the X Power. But all those are even more rarer then the X Power. So you'd rarely come across them. And all are more expensive, which is really what it boils down to. Would be interesting at the lights, and I would have a do, at um. Up until 60 anyway. 🙂👍

Tried to keep the proper expensive stuff out of it, but used there are some cracking cars. Although I'm not a huge fan of the smarts

Some good used deals

Agree. As used Performance EVs they are brilliant! As for the Smarts, the #1 Brabus is a bit non-discript, the #3 Brabus is more interesting. In Orange obviously. 😉🙂👍

How dare you question whether an eBerlingo is quick sir. You don’t even know me enough to know what numbs my mind 😵‍💫

The 5N can be very touchy about battery condition ( as can Mg) for max power and it again is not that much faster off the line in the real world on public roads keeping it legal, on a track yes 5N would bury an X Power.
TBH we must all want our heads examining trying to use the available power the MG has on public roads, it’s 0 to 60 time is in that ‘who needs all that’ realm so trying to go even faster is insane.
I have had fast fossil cars in the past, plenty but the way the X Power launches is bananas.

A few comments in this You Tube test drive of another Nissan makes a few comments about the 0-60 times

Not really "smoked" but using the available power.

Coming home yesterday I was following a woman in a Scooby Doo Forester wagon. She seemed to be incapable of holding a constant speed. She seemed speed up until about 5-10 kph over the speed limit then coast until she was about 10-15kph below the speed limit. Rinse and repeat. I put on the ACC as it was driving me nuts. Most of it was in a 60kph zone, then into an 80kph zone. She started to do it again in the 100kph area. there is a short dashed line section. Having that immediate torque can be so useful. Was quickly on the other side and then back to a pleasant drive home.

That annoying idea that it saves few because part of the time the car is coasting so not using as much fuel ..... but then all that goes out the window when they accelerate to a much higher speed than normal, using more fuel to achieve it o_O

There is a section of the Mannum Rd coming back from Murray Bridge, where the traffic rounds a left hand corner with a road T section off to the right, and a hill immediately after it. The wife will wait for that spot to take any clown who thought passing an EV MG made them a bigger person or something, and clean them and anything in front, including a B double or triple, before the no overtaking lines .... acceleration not possible in the average hack ICE powered vehicle ..... I keep telling her that one day a Policeman with a radar unit will be waiting for her as she crests the hill at close to terminal velocity .... but it goes in one ear and hits the hatchback window as it goes out the other

Massive understatement, my XPOWER is awful for battery condition, sometimes a full dice roll as to what the thing is going to do when you hit the throttle. Seems to be fully related to ambient temperature.

I'm seriously wondering if I'd enjoy drivingwith your wife?
Guess it's an acquired taste
If you have had a full and exiting life where you feel you have lived on the edge for the most exciting parts ...... this is the chance to re-experience that tingling feeling from your toes to your fingertips, sort of like going for a hot lap with a race car driver, a lot cheaper but in the back of your mind, you also know she isn't skilled like a race car driver  .....
I think she might have been a chauffer for the Pope, I also have that urge to kiss the ground each time I arrive .... still in one piece :ROFLMAO:
