Charging at campsites

Just a thought I'm off camping layer in the year and have a pitch with electricity hook-up for a change.

Would it be possible to plug the granny charger into the hook-up via an extension lead? Or would this overload the system?

The Commando should be 16A so ok as long as you don't boil the kettle or make some toast?

The commando socket can handle 16 amp, but check the circuit breaker for the supply post itself - quite a few in France have a 10 amp CB fitted even though the socket provided to the camping space itself is either a commando or Schuko (both 16 amp), so one shouldn't just assume a 16 amp supply.
