Hi, when anyone has returned their car to Finance Co.
Have they wanted your Type 2 charging cable? or can you keep?
 
If it's a lease car then it's usually the job of the delivery driver to document what came with the car when they dropped it off, hence it's not based on what should have come with the car (from manufacturer specs) but what was in it when you got it.

They also take loads of pictures to prevent people from disputing.
 
Also check if the type 2 cable can handle more than 7kW as this was a max for a lot of MG4 and if you are moving to an EV that can handle 11kW and 22kW it might be worth replacing the cable anyway.

Your wall box at home is unlikely to be 3 phase, therefore having a single phase cable for daily use is handy.

If you intend to use 3 phase AC EVSE’s, buy a second (22kW) cable.

That depends on whether the wall box at home is tethered or untethered ... a tethered type has the cable and plug permanently fitted, so a separate Type 2 cable would only be used for destination charging elsewhere. :)

Is it worth replacing it for the 3 or 4 extra kW on the rarer 3 phase chargers though ? and the 22 kW ones are usually Chademo anyway.
