Charging Cover Sticking

Unable to open Charging Cover, tried locking and unlocking with key fob and pouring hot water over as its well below freezing.
Any advice and opening and stopping it happening again. WILL GIVE IT A LIBERAL SPRAY WITH wD 49 once open

Thanks looks like some grease o the rubber strip is called for. Job for tomorrow in the daylight.

Sounds like yours may be sticking on the catch or hinges, spray those as well.

Thanks got it open this morning with hot water and all moving parts sprayed with WD40 lets hope its gone i where needed thanks for advice

I was in Screwfix today and they coincidentally (cleverly) had de-icer spray on display. I purchased a can, but wonder whether there might be a reason not to use it?

Now I have a problem with it not lo King closed any ideas or is it a trip to dealer

I've had the same issue over the last few weeks and its got progressively worse so I've sprayed a little WD40 on all moving parts and in the hole where the spike on the cover goes in. A lot better now.

Try a little WD40 in the hole on the car where the spike of the cover goes in that helped with mine.
