When we bought our MG4 two years ago I calculated its charging efficiency to be about 83%.
I've now done the same calculations with our MGS5 and I reckon the charging efficiency is about 89%
That's quite an improvement if you think about the cost of charging over a long period of time.
(The calculations are based on my charging setup - a granny charger which is controlled with a Shelly relay. The relay measures the power drawn from the mains supply and the car's charging power is derived from its data as reported to Home Assistant software. )
