Charging socket rubber cover

Has anyone experienced difficulty in plugging the rubber cover ( the rubber Bung) that covers the charging socket, it might be the charging socket shifted?

Hi its a 3 year old 19000 MG ZSEV

Make sure the lower bung (CCS) is seated properly before you put the top AC bung in.

It is not round, it has a flat top!

The Bottom bung is in place and the top one when inserted jams, I find getting warranty inspection very difficult with MG

It looks like the charging socket has moved making inserting the waterproof bung hard to fit

Yeah, that has definitely got a problem.
Have you hit a deer or pheasant

I would probably loosen them 4 bolts realign and tighten up ?

I tried undoing the 4 bolts but the charging socket did not move so will look into the matter further, but its never been hit, I spent many years in the Bodyshop game so checked all panel alignment to ensure nothing has happened when parked, plus have a front and rear dash cam.

Not sure if a dealer will help?

Maybe the bumpers sagged a little bit? Or has the rubber boot expanded a bit?
