Well, here's what I think. Hydrogen is not going to happen as a viable fuel for ordinary cars or motorbikes, either as fuel cells or direct combustion, for all the reasons already stated. Cost, efficiency, practicality. The people still pushing it have their heads stuck on the idea that people want to go to fuel stations rather than let their car charge while it's parked where it would have been parked anyway, and that people prefer vehicles that emit a loud roar and vibrate rather than just zooming along quietly and calmly.

I think even now these people are a minority and that minority will get even smaller when regarding a car or a motorbike as a substitute for sex begins to be seen as quite weird. As it will be when most people, by choice, are driving quiet, smoothly running vehicles.

As for the magnetic levitation thing, get back to me in a few decades. Eventually something will supersede the EV as the EV is superseding the ICE car. It might even be that, who knows. But it's not going to be soon.

You are of course entitled to an opinion, even if you are wrong, just kidding, there is so much research going into all forms of combustion and other ways to get from A-B not all are viable yet.

Regardless we will likely continue to rape and pillage the planet until it finally dies or we get wiped out by an asteroid or aliens, or the Zombies come for our diluted brains.

Most likely is we will have all ingested enough nano plastic to actually become recyclable
