Comfortpack 2 update range

The heated seats work purely of the 12 volt battery so no impact on your HV that’s the better option and you will see the difference.

I’m not sure how the 12 v actually charges when the vehicle is in ready mode, maybe from the actual main motor, but the 12 volt also charges when charging the HV battery; however it would be nice to know exactly what electrical elements of the car are supported by the 12 v and which items are supported by the HV albeit you can normally see the range effected by those drawing power from the HV.

It would be interesting to know how the relationship between the two batteries works.

Surely the 12v is topped up from the HV otherwise why have the vehicle in READY mode when parked up running the HVAC and other functions.

Similar to the Prius I would think...12v charging system Prius

There is a low power DC-DC converter to supply charge from the HV to the 12v battery.

Would this get charged when charging the main battery ?

I always charge the car in ready mode so I can use the HVAC and I haven't seen the voltage of the 12v battery getting discharged.
