Congestion Charge

So this is weird. Transport for London seem to be able to work out that my car doesn't need to pay ULEZ, but until I apply for an exemption I will have to pay the congestion charge?!

Surely being an EV exempts it from both. So if they know it's exempt from ULEZ why do they not know it's also exempt from Congestion Charge?

Can you get exempt from the CC or is there a yearly fee?

ULEZ is to keep the exhaust fumes down from ICE vehicles. The congestion charge is to keep ALL vehicles out of the centre.

Yearly £10 fee, plus you need to send a copy of the V5 showing it is a battery vehicle. Exemption stops in 2025 for all low/no emission vehicles.
