I had posted about an issue where my car would sometime failed to pull away from rest. This was accompanied by a warning alert saying fasten seat belts. The car went into the garage. Nothing was found though they reset the car (akin to turn off and on your computer I guess).
Tonight was the first time I’ve plugged the car into charge after the visit to the garage.
The car is now not connecting and therefore not charging. Any ideas of what could be wrong?
Thanks in advance
Dario

I have no idea, all I can add is that I had one night when it was plugged in and didn't charge.

At the time, I put it down to not having quite pushed the plug in, or not having configured the charging properly (I schedule midnight to 7am on a granny charger), but neither explanation really made sense and it has slightly concerned me since, and when I wake up for a wee in the middle of the night I am in the habit of just checking on the app that it is charging.

It only happened that once.

The car failing to pull away from rest can happen if the doors are not closed properly.
Our ZS EV will refuse to move if the drivers door is not closed.
So you may have a faulty door switch. Does it show up on the dash that a door is open?
If I open the door on our car when it is charging it also pauses the charge, so it could be as simple as a switch not working
Good luck
pete

If all else fails use the 10mm spanner fix.
Undo the 12 volt battery negative terminal, take the lead off the battery for 10 minutes at least.
Put the lead back on and see if that helps

Tried the charger again there. Now all working fine. I did what was suggested elsewhere and I made sure the cable head was dry before plugging into the car (gave car terminal a quick wipe as well). Let’s be clear they cable and the car were no more than slightly damp. Do not if that was the problem but as I said it is now connected and charging. The car is not set to a charging schedule so until earlier it would always start charging as soon as I plugged it in. Hopefully it was only this once fingers crossed.

Some MG4 owners had problems with the charging not starting especially with fast chargers. The fix was to take the weight off the plug to make sure the top connectors were making proper contact.

Check there is no scheduled / delayed charging times set up, or it will not charge outside of these hours.

Hi Guys

I have not set up any scheduling/charging times. Up until last night i just plugged in an off we went. I did check to see if the charging times option has been turned on however as far as i could see they had not. Puzzled as to why it did not charge at first but pleased that it did eventually. Hopefully it was just a one off.
Thanks for the info/guidance
