CREAKING CYBERSTER SEATS

Seats near seat belt loops produce annoying creaking on the move.Anyone else got the problem? What is the solution?

Yes!

I had a really bad creaking/snapping noise the other day that I narrowed down to two causes.

1. Roof down, the passenger seatbelt was catching the wind and flapping really badly. I solved it by plugging it in.

2. Passenger seat creaking really badly when at speed. Solved by moving the seat forward to halfway its maximum forward and tilting the seat up to halfway.

After doing both of these I’ve had no issues.

Have had a loud cracking noise from under the drivers seat, twice now, when gone over a bump in the road !!

Could be inside the base or the rails. Is the seat resting against the parcel shelf behind?

I've come across this on other (not MG) cars and it has been down to a failed weld so best to inspect closely.

SAME.Spray wd40 silicone lubricant on a rag and wipe black area of seats frequently
