Curious discrepancy in estimated range between car and Ismart

I thought I saw this weird discrepancy between the estimated range as shown by the car and in iSMART last week after charging the battery to 80%, but it was gone when I thought to take a photo of it. However it happened again this morning after charging to 100% overnight.

iSMART shows 407km of range, but the car shows 388km. I thought perhaps iSMART is being optimistic about not driving with any heating/cooling, but turning that off moves the car up to 408km of range. It’s not really an issue, but I’m surprised that iSMART doesn’t just show what the car is showing.

Like last time, a drive sees iSMART fall back in line with what the car is estimating. I’ve never noticed the car do this before, the only thing that has changed is I did a low SoC to 100% charge + balance (on the granny charger, took forever…). But again, I don’t see why iSMART has its own ideas about range.

Try refreshing iSmart at least twice.

iSmart (if the car is off) assumes Normal drive mode and HVAC off when estimating range. When you get in the car you're most probably in Normal with HVAC On ... the GOM reduces the range by a fixed (percentage) amount when HVAC is on.

If you flick between, say, sport and normal mode you can see the range adjust immediately. The same for putting the AC on or off, as Siteguru says.

What does surprise me is you only having 407km at "full" in a 64. I get a guesstimate of 400km at 100% with AC off in my 51.

WLTP for the 64 Trophy is about 450km I think. The 51 WLTP is about 350km.

I've noticed the same just now. iSmart on my trophy show 217 miles and the car 208 after an 80% charge and balance. Interesting

It's just the nominal deduction in range the car does when the HVAC is turned on, as @siteguru said.

WLTP for the 64 Trophy is about 450km I think. The 51 WLTP is about 350km.

64 Trophy has a WLTP of 435km the Excite 64 gets 450km iirc

That makes sense ... 271 miles vs 281 miles WLTP in the UK. (218 miles for the 51).

I go up to chittering every so often, which doesn’t help my kWh/km. And I also think I just don’t drive very efficiently (I’m having fun though haha)

I think I get about 18 kWh/ 100 kms at the moment. On the accumulated total screen. I’m pretty happy with 400km of real range considering the WLTP is 435km.

I like to think of a real range around 230 miles (WLTP is 270 I think of the Trophy. I do drive with a custom setup including "sport" horsepower setting (if only to scare the wife now and again by giving it some beans)

EU market model year 2024 Luxury64 got 450km, Standard64 got 465km.
0-100kmh is different too 7.1s for both...

Meningfull differences? I don't think... but still
