I’ve just had an invite to book the 1st year service by our local dealer - nearly 2 months before the actual anniversary - no problem on that just planning ahead I guess.
I asked for the price which is apparently £164.85 incl VAT(UKP)
We will have done about 8k miles by the time a year is up in October.

Here's an overview of prices in the Netherlands.
Whichever comes first: the mileage or the car's age.

The dealer sent me the service schedule details now see attached
So literally nothing at all on the first service beyond a visual inspection and spray grease on hinges. Looks like they've added wheel removal and sliver of coppergrease on the mating surfaces to give the impression something is actually done!

I'm going to begrudge paying for that if and when I get mine!

I begrudge too but on the other hand new model with low nos on the road maybe a more thorough (professional hopefully) check than I might do is no bad thing for peace of mind.

Agree. But keeps your MG warranty up, if you do need to make a claim. (Which may or may not help) 🙄 Plus renews your AA,
which is probably over a 100 quid at least. 🙂👍

The AA is actually a good point, so not so bad I suppose. It just gets me that if you didn't have this service done, they'd refuse warranty work if needed, even though the cause would almost always be nothing to do with missing the service!

Tesla as a company have many faults, but honouring the warranty irrespective of servicing is the one thing they get right.

Mine has quoted 162 GBP, and will provide the details for a 3yr service plan.
I've also asked if they can install a dashcam while it's there.

Only done just over 3k miles / 150hrs in 11months, which is pretty good considering that's me time without the rest of the family!

There definitely wasn't anything when I picked it up last year, so hoping that there's something now. The car is fantastic but there's so many little things that could be done to take it to the next level.

Service should include check and possibly install latest update (R34). Check system software. If you have any issues with the subwoofer etc. The perfect time to get it checked.

My Cyberster Trophy is booked in for its first service in a couple of weeks time. Quoted £190, but no choice really as the next nearest dealer is 5 hours and a 250 miles round trip.

Only done just over 1,000 miles, so works out at 19p per mile, which is over twice the cost per mile for the electricity. I suppose dealers have got to make a living somehow.

Hi, I had my annual service done here in Thailand yesterday. (actually its 14 months now but we did a "preliminary service" at 6 months while having a few things looked at) My Cyberster has 17,000+ kilometers. The service took about 90 minutes. Cost was equivalent 62 pounds. Nothing to report. (y) But,,,,I inquired about software updates. I was informed: no over the air updates, and no software system updates available at this time. I suspect unless a safety issue comes up MG Thailand has no intention of any over the air updates or providing any software system upgrade versions. So I wont "hold my breath" waiting for some of the software "bugs/shortcomings" to be remedied, or any other enhancements. I guess I'm OK with that, but with the current technology I was hoping for some ongoing improvements. My Cyberster's "garage mate' is a Tesla so I'm spoiled in that regard.

Just booked mine in for its first service - £191 at Eden group which seems a little steep compared to the other prices everyone else is seeing in the UK.

I’ll ask them to do a software update as part of the service when I get there - the main thing I wanted to know was if they could even service it and to make sure not to wash it…
