Did MG change the ELK system?

In the current English brochure (page 23) I spotted a remark about ELK*: *road lane/edge only.
Does anyone have an idea if this is new?

I found this passage in the MG4 manual
The system detects the following objects:
• Lane lines ahead of the vehicle.
• Kerbs ahead of the vehicle.
• Oncoming vehicles in the adjacent lane.
• Overtaking vehicles in the adjacent lane.

The explanations in the MG4 manual sometimes seem inappropriate

That was my first thought as well. However, the E from emergency is precisely that: it intervenes also if you intentionally or non-intentionally cross the line, and a car approaches you from the other direction in the same lane you are in. I highly doubt they removed the E as it would basically reduce it something similar as lane departure assist.

The manual is written in Chinese and translated to local languages. The quality is better than Google translate, just about. In my pdf manual I still have comments in, in Chinese. They mainly say "rewrite this paragraph" or "leave out this paragraph". In can imagine a "not" falling out in translation too
