Do car journalists hate MG?

People forget that SAIC Volkswagon Automotive Ltd is a massive joint venture with VW group
SAIC General Motors is another massive JV.
Passats, Tiguans, Buick, Cadillac etc don’t get the ‘cheap Chinese’ branding remarks given by some to MG.
SAIC and CATL (the largest EV battery maker in the world) recently signed a $1.6b JV to double battery capacity. Many people feel threatened in some way and find reasons to knock the products. I think if they’re crap then fair enough, but we’ve come a long way since then. It’s a global industry and companies will form alliances if they can that give them a marked advantage. They’ll also build factories wherever in the world proves to be the best choice.

Not based on any evidence but my instinct, established you tube channels are looking to add content which increases viewership leading to better revenue. People are more likely to search for and click on popular brands. Some of them have a large cost involved in producing content and would be expecting returns to match the input. Some of them might be guided by algorithms predicting the content is bound to generate more traffic.

If you take money out of equation, it leaves us true electro heads, MG enthusiast(an occasional dealer!!) and independent press promoting sustainable technology which are the ones we probably come across.

Sooner or later the established channel will review the MG car if the originally scheduled car wasn't delivered to them.
