Door water drainage?

I have undersealed the chassis of my MG4 & was thinking of doing the doors as well. I’ve noticed there’s no drainage holes in the bottom of the doors so I’m not sure how water drains out of the doors? Any ideas?

A mix of chainsaw oil & engine oil sprayed onto the undercarriage & chassis. Had to remove all the plastics first.

I believe the drainage holes are an OAU ie it rains, it rusts it drains?.
My 1979 MG Midget was waxoyled from new and underbody remained pristine for the 13 years I had it which is more than could be said for the sills which were replaced twice?

That's not good. Don't think I've ever seen a door with no drain holes, water will find a way past the window seals, always does.
Now I'm going to have to remove the door cards to see what's going on and suffer all the broken clips and swearing that usually accompanies this.

Except most of the oil eventually ends up on the road and therefore in the drainage system and our waterways.

Hadn't someone on here had an issue where they had a damp footwell which was caused by a drainage plug not being removed from somewhere around the door? Perhaps I'm misremembering

Reminds me of my father mixing old engine oil and diesel to preserve the shed. Never had any weeds growing near it or anything else come to that ?

With the PCP agreement, I will be keeping the car for 4 years. So by the sound of it, no water drainage in the doors seems to potentially be a problem.
So I was wondering if anyone knows a car mechanic who might have a look at the door to say whether it actually presents a problem or not.

If you think it's going to be a problem, just pop a couple of 5mm holes in the inside skins on the upside of each door & spray in rust inhibitors.

But actually we don't know that there's a problem with the doors and rust, this is speculation.

Exactly, a half hour job to alleviate, if not a problem at least your worries about it, no one ever needs to know. ?‍

Based on how the plastic trims are on the doors it's possible the drain holes are beneath these as they're made of two pieces that overlap with a gap underneath

One way to find out if the doors need drainage holes is lie underneath the car door while someone squirts a hose at the windows. ?
