Driving with charge port open

I make a point of closing the flap as soon as I take out the plug - just wouldn’t want to risk forgetting and breaking it.

Did it the first time I charged mine. Only realised when I got home.

IN MY DEFENCE... someone else took the public charging cable out for me. Still though, I should have checked.

Luckily I've only done it once. About to reverse out my space at a gridserve when the attendant runs over shouting "Your flap's open!". Kids have never let me forget it ??‍

Hello,

As I've only had the car a couple of weeks and I'm used to my old Hyundai Ioniq 38kWh screaming at me if the charge port was left open, I was a bit surprised to be informed by another driver when I was passing them that my charge port (cover and mennekes/7kWh flap) were open to the elements. Thankfully I hadn't gone far but my question is obviously, is this what everyone else's does?
