Early considerations about the new MG Urban Comfort Standard range

It'd be interesting to see the economy for an hour's run at 70mph.
Hi,
Perhaps I can help. I’m quite new in both EV and MG. Picked my Urban on Saturday and on Sunday morning made trip Glasgow to Edinburgh. Not quite 1hr of driving, rather 40’, but kept 70 mph on cruise and approximately 18% of battery gone. As I remember it was showing something like 3.5 m/kWh when I stopped. Today, coming back, stuck in traffic and 4.0 m/kWh.

Which Urban edition?

we need the admins to add the three (soon to be four) variants as separate options in the car profile
Unfortunately that won't be happening mate, we used to have options for different variations when there were only a few MG models, but with so many models and variations available now, we'd need to list 60 or 70 options to cover them all.

We do have an XPower forum. The new MG4 is arguably just a facelift so doesn't need to be separate from the older models. The Urban is a different car on a different platform so having that separate makes sense to me.
Fair point - I forgot about that. But the question was about variants in the Driving section of your profile, not sub-boards in the forum. ;)

From a database perspective that's an irrelevance .. it's only for the UI (to select your option) where it becomes a concern. :)

The Adaptive regen is way more noticeable and possibly efficient than in the old Mg4 SE. I wonder if the new 2026 MG4 is better now.

One pedal drive really benefits from the comfort braking setting in town.

I haven't yet connected my OBD2 dongle to the car using CarScanner, but allegedly the mg4 Urban is supported by the same mg4 profile.

In particular i want to monitor the battery temperature and the intelligent battery heating logic.

On the Comfort, the battery won't be preheated if you set a rapid charger as a destination, unlike the premium. But you can still manually turn it on yourself.
