I also got a Greenworks cordless one this Spring after having used petrol mowers for years. I was very pleased with this one - Greenworks 40V Cordless Lawnmower for Lawns up to 500m², 41cm Cutting Width, 50L Bag, Two of 40V 2Ah Batteries & One Charger, 3 Year Guarantee-G40LM41K2X.

It's weighty enough to feel sturdy but just light enough to lift up steps etc. Cutting is very good and the pickup / suction is excellent as many reviewers state. I use one battery for the front lawn and one for the back so no issues so far. Its easy to manouvre backward and forwards but not self propelled.

I caved and bought that model last week, they had £50 off it so £199, which was nice..
Literally delivered today and charging the batteries for a weekend of grass action.

Is that self propelled, for that. If it is, that's bloody cheap.

We replaced our aging petrol mower with a cordless one from Lidl as we already have several Parkside tools and batteries. Can easily mow front and rear lawn from a single charge of a 4ah 20v battery. Not self propelled, but it's so light in comparision to our petrol mower, it's effortless to push and turns easily. It was £49.99 without the batteries or charger (already have those) If you had to buy a battery and charger, then you would still pay less than £100

Lord no, the self propelled one is near £400 I think.

They also had a robot mower recently for under £250, but that's how Judgement day gets started #Terminator

I've got a Cleva Lawnmaster robot mower nicknamed Moby, I just sit back and watch him do all the work, he does a great job.

is it an OcuMow you have? ive been tempted for a while for the 18 but havent quite pressed the buy button.....

Hi Deviousrich, Yes it is the OcuMow18, great bit of kit and no boundary wires to faff about with, they do supply two magnetic no go strips to cordon off areas of grass (Ie newly sown patches)you don't want mowed. My grass has never looked so good.

good to know! if you dont mind me asking is your lawn flat? ours is slightly sloped so just wanted to make sure it would actually work

My grass is pretty level, I think it can operate on sloped lawns up to 35% (19 degrees) off the level. I would suggest you should look at the Cleva website trusted reviews.

The Greenworks got it's first outing today, not super impressed with it.

Part of the problem was my grass was a bit tough and long and tangled. I had to put it on the highest setting, anything lower and it just died. Roughly 36sqm lawn took more than one battery.
I've sharpened the blade and given it a little bit of serration to help it cut better and I won't leave it so long before the next cut so it should perform better.
I do like the height setting system, so easy to do and not having to drag a cable around was a big plus.
