Engine noise

I suspect that from inside the car we are expecting some loud noise and are suspicious when we only hear a faint whine. However from outside I can hear it quite clearly.
I think the 5 is much louder than the Gen1 ZS EV.

for my own sanity im going to video driving up and down, im sure mine doesnt make a noise!
