I’m an old fatty pensioner , so need an easy to operate unit and I doubt if I will ever go down the solar panel route but cheers for the advice

You can use the Cord with an app, but I don't, it's much easier without it, I just plug it in at both ends and it charges, no fuss or messing about with apps. Of course if you have to have it installed within public view, you're probably better off with the app, otherwise anybody else can plug in and use it.
