We're going to Center Parcs next week, and I wondered if anybody had used their EV charging facilities, I know they recommend pre-booking a charger, but there didn't appear to be any option to book at the time of booking the accommodation.

It looks like you book the charging spot after you've booked your accommodation. There is a "Check Availability" box on the right of this web page when viewed on a laptop.

Thanks @Ian Key, at least that explains why we couldn't book with the accommodation, I'd have thought we could book everything together.

If you are going to center parcs elveden, there is an open Tesla charging area about 5 minutes south of the park.
Whinfell Forest, I'd normally be able get there and back on a full charge, but it'll be cold, and I may need lights, heater, wipers etc. on.

Made it on 39% (76 miles), don't know what I was worried about. 😁
Your internal GOM was pretty accurate then! Enjoy the break 🏊‍♂️ 🛝 🚲 🐿️🍺
As I have said many times, once we have had our cars for a while we know better than any app when we will need to stop for a charge. All we need to know is where are the chargers nearish to that location.

Just to update on the thread title, although I didn't actually use the Center Parcs EV charging facility, I still parked in an EV bay, and remained there all week (which you're entitled to do), and even though I felt a bit guilty by doing this, I'd do it again, because the EV car park is all nicely tarmacked, and you get an allocated space, the alternative is to park in the rough gravel car park, which is wet and dirty, and full of potholes and soggy fallen leaves.

Had a couple of stays at Forest Holidays cabins this year. They have Podpoints, as far as I know not bookable but at both sites the only time it wasn't available was at Ardgarten on change over day because their staff minibus was plugged in.

Got home today on exactly the same 39%, plus I used 2% to preheat and defrost, so 80% used in total to do 152 miles, leaving me with 20% to go shopping tomorrow, then charge up with 8 hours of free leccy on Sunday, I love it hen a plan comes together. :giggle:
Just as a final update, we did a further 27 miles this morning, leaving me with 6% in the tank, so that's a total of 179 miles from 100% down to 6%, this is down about 20% from summer, until it gets colder. 🥶
