I'm fitting an EV charge point in my garage today. I contacted my home insurance provider just in case.
The feedback frrom Priivlige Ins in the UK was :-
"
Charging points and solar panels with batteries are all things we automatically cover. We don't need to specify them on your home insurance policy as they are covered under our policy terms for you. "
So despite the new BSI recommendation (PAS 63100:2024) it seems I don't have an issue for now at least.
Of course other providers may disagree
