I suppose it would come down to what is the daytime rate ?

There is not a “one fit suits all” with energy tariffs to be sure.
IF you can utilise the full 7 hours of the the off peak rate it could work out really well !.
Great if you had a storage battery set up ?.

28.8 standard rate
7.9 midnight to 5am
