Expected Range in Jan 2025

Just curious as to what battery should be available upon a full charge just now. I'm currently only getting between 150-160 miles from a 100% charge. Now i know these things are variable and are impacted by a number of things but for ref i drive in the ECO settings everytime and use the one pedal drive when available.

I stay in the Central Belt Scotland where temperatures can be anywhere from -5 to 10 in January.

just wondering whether i have a dodgy battery or this is the norm. Car was received in August 2024 with 0 miles on it.

As Alb has said your range projections seems to be very for a SR!!

First port of call, reset your Total trip counter, to remove impact of your style of driving

If you reset your trip counters, as suggested above, that will then show you the factory GOM when you turn on and select eco with fan, heater etc all turned off.
You are probably getting under 3m/kWh once it warms up you should see 4m/kWh +

As others have pointed out your range looks about right for the SE at this time of year.

The "winter range" on EVs can come as of a bit surprise to those not expecting it.

I agree with everyone else, I think it sounds about right. I'm getting 3 mpkw right now, so lets assume SE gets 3.5 as it's lighter then that's about 175 miles per "tank".

The two things that can help your autonomy the most on cold are probably 'battery pre-heat', and 'active grill' (on new versions), as both help the battery to operate at the correct temperature on cold weather.

Battery pre-heat makes no difference to range. Only inproves DC charging speed.

My understanding is that general efficiency of battery is also better at optimim temp. So if you are doing more than 20 miles in the cold, spending the charge on preheading should pay back. Short journeys you'll use more power preheading than your journey.

From my own recent experiments
4.1 mi/kWh with no heater
3-3.6 mi/kWh with heater

3x50kWh=150
3.5x50kWh=175
150-175miles
So your range is normal with heater on
