First Service

Today was my first service as part of the service plan I signed up to, and all in all no issues. It was conducted at the Kidderminster MG garage and the staff we generally OK, a little lack of general knowledge but OK.
I also booked the free Air Con Service – Summer Special Free Anti-bacterial Air Conditioning Treatment, which they didn't do when they returned the keys, but after a small discussion, where they seemed completely unaware of the service they advertise, they completed it as agreed, so at least my air con smells nice for a few days

Hi all, just booked my MG4 Trophy in for it's first service, The dealer as asked if I want the software update at a cost of £200! They said it's not part of the service, is this right and has anyone else had the same issue? The dealership is Paul Rigby which has branches all over the midlands and south

This is true for Paul Rigby. I use Redditch. It was £190 last month so they put it up again. Year before it was £180.

If i go for another MG I will not be using Paul Rigby again, I will make sure who I go with does FREE updates if they are not FOC OTA. Remember MG advertise update OTA but failed to deliver.

You might get the Infotainmet updated if you keep telling them you are having bluetooth issues, though when I tried they stated £180 so OK i'll live with the bluetooth issues as it's just another mark against MG4 (well MG) and also a mark against Paul Rigby.

My PCP ends in 10 months time so I am looking around. Would like to get S5 or S6 but not from Paul Rigby. I also love how Paul Rigby automated service emails are still telling you only one person to come to the dealership and they must wear a mask and use the anti-bac gel when entering the dealership.
