You mentioned “There is one particular beep that goes off now and then that i haven't heard when I had the zs but I will persevere and look it up.”
I had a similar issue, i.e. what appeared to be a random beep.
I was when the car noticed a change in speed limit: it beeped!

“Change of speed limit notification” can be disabled in the MG pilot settings, and the good news is, it stays disabled.

Thought this might help, because it took me a while to realize what was going on.

Yes,thank you you for that, we realised this morning that was what it was as we travelled along the motorway it "beeped" as the limit went down to 50 through road works. And also as you pass where there is a school it beeps as it goes to "20". Again, thanks for the info.

Can anyone enlighten me as to how to get onto the "equaliser" settings for the radio, I need to tweak the base/treble settings, that's if indeed it has one? .

From the home page, swipe left to bring up the menu icons. Go to 'settings' and then choose 'volume settings' . Scroll down the page and choose 'EQ'. Fiddle at will.
