Folding mirrors while moving

I have noticed while driving down a tight road I wanted to put my wing mirrors in but it seems I have to reduce my speed below 13-15 MPH is there a way of over-riding this?

Driving without mirrors in correct position. It's fine for low speed manoeuvring but not at speed. I'd consult the Highway Code.

Don't know what's in the HS but the MG4 mirror selection switch in the central position will fold the mirrors if the joystick is pushed down.

You always get one!! we are not saying all the time but down single track lanes where I live it’s a godsend!! I can take you down numerous country roads where the graveyards of wing mirrors where drivers have come across speeding motorists and with no time to react have lost theirs especially on blind bends so I do t think 20 miles an hours is an issue if it saves you 100’s of pounds

Just need to slow down and take the mirrors in if need be.

Sometimes I wish some drivers would put their mirrors as well
I regularly come across centre white line drivers who obviously think their car mirrors stick out further that an Boeing 737

Some drivers are very bad at keeping their car over on their side, I agree. Some seem quite oblivious.

Hi @sparfitt52, welcome to the forum, if it's the same as the MG4, push the mirror adjuster knob down to fold the mirrors in, then the same again to unfold them.

Thank you Clive. There doesn't appear to be a knob on the S 5.
