My mate's missus needs a new car, so they wanted to see if the MG4 appealed,
Sat her in the drivers seat, but nothing happened, no lights no nothing!
asked her to bounce on the seat, she gave me a strange look but eventually complied.
Bingo, everything lit up.
She is just too light to activate the seat sensor.
Aren't these cars made in China?
I'm sure she's no lighter than the average Chinese lady.
Or do we just have an insensitive seat?

Found a document online that said the airbag activation for the passenger seat requires 29kg (65lbs) of weight on the seat. Not sure if this is for all MG models. I guess a minimum weight requirement would prevent smaller children from activating the car if they sat in the driver seat

I can only imagine that happening if the seat doesn't go far enough forwards, weird.
How do these people work the seatbelt? They would have zero chance in a rear end collision ..... it nearly killed me, wrecked my neck, back and left knee, I can't imagine the damage that could be sustained by the acceleration before being slammed into the head rest and then the back following shortly afterwards, crush the neck down into the shoulders because the head is wedged below the headrest because the head went back first, being the heavier item ..... then being pummelled by the steering wheel airbag and the side airbags if the deployed .....
Often wonder if they actually need driving glasses, they sit so gar forward hoping it will improve their vision of what's ahead
