Front camera blocked error on a frosty day (UK)

I went to get in our car a few days back. The button on the ZS EV door handles were frozen in position. So I could not push the button to open the door. Eventually I managed to get the passenger door to work so the car was then unlocked. I am thinking next time to try the key fob. Never had a car with a key fob before so I didn't think of it at the time.
We get pretty cold weather at anytime of the year in Tasmania, most of the time the car is kept in a shed out of the elements. I was lazy and left it in the driveway overnight. So lesson learnt. Frost stops door opening buttons working.

Hi Martin, my car is an Australian MG ZS EV generation 1. As far as I know there isn't an app for the gen 1 car.
If i had a choice i would have an EV that had the minimum amount of electronic stuff. Something like the level of a morris 1000 would suit me fine. To me the more electronics a vehicle has the harder it is to fix and when the electronics fail the car is dead

Hi Pete if you have the smart app IAM sure you can pre heat the car before you enter the car so that would eliminate frozen door handles etc perhaps?

Cheaper alternative is to lubricant all door locks key holes with wd40 to Repel the moisture, should stop the locks freezing up ?
Hi Scotsman , I may try silicone spray. Although now we are heading into summer it may not be necessary for a while.
We rarely use the heater in our car, we only turn it on to clear the windscreen, which takes a minute or two then turn it off.
In winter here our days on the mountain are between 1 and 5 degrees C, for us a heater is not required at that temperature.
The heater drops the range of the car by around 30 kilometres, and as we charge solely from solar we don't want to waste the effort the sun puts in.
