Front Radar Replacement

Hi Everyone

So if you replace the front bumper on an MG4

And you no longer have the front Radar as it was lost in the crash

Can you just buy one of those replacement units off ebay for around £150

Pop that in...... And away you go!

Or is it more complicated than that?

I kinda figured it might need calibrating?

So I wonder how much the dealer would charge for that!

I bought a second hand one for my Hyundai and it was plug and play. However, the module had to be mounted 2° forward from the vertical. I bought a digital level and set the mounting bracket level to the floor in a vice. Installed the module level in the bracket and then adjusted it so it was at 2° from the level. Refitted to the car, took it for a short drive so it could calibrate itself and it's worked fine since. I'd imagine it's a similar process but I'm sure someone else will be able to guide you to exactly how it should be set up.
