Is that their translation for alternating current?

Google says it translates as "strong and weak current room" (similar to the sign) so I guess we need someone who actually understands Chinese.. Maybe it is warning of low and high powered devices but I found the apparent contradiction amusing.

EDIT: On reflection I wonder if "strong" could mean "very" such as "very weak current room". Just a wild stab in the dark...

My guess is it means that this room has the transformer, i.e. there is high voltage (say 11kV) and "low" voltage (230/400V). I'm guessing that their writing system where one or two characters represents a whole word or concept contributes to the typically poor quality of Chinese manuals. A simple translation without considering context seems to lead to almost comical mistranslations.
