General thought.

They are trailing driverless cabs in Central London, I've seen a few around. Left hand drive Jaguar I pace with lots of body adornments and internal computers for what we achieve in our 8 inch diameter head.
There was a building site alongside where it was parked and I overheard then guys talking about how they disabled one (I think in the USA) when they put a traffic cone close in front and behind it. I guess in that case it would just communicate that it couldn't move due to obstacles.......disgraceful behavior!

A flash of the lights is like the sounding of the horn, it's to let other road users you are there, not to invite other road users to proceed.
A driverless car would have to abide by the highway code of the country it is operating in and be able to pass a driving test.

You can also stop the vertical rotating vanes that I guess are ffor a 3 d laser system by sticking in your finger. I hear it works in San Fransisco.

They are very scary to watch in action
