How can MG produce a car with no UV protection one of the reason putting me off from buying second lag of alloys option

Because they're cheap and there are many reasons why they're cheap!

im confident it does filter UV, its obviously not tinted so doesnt do anything for the glare but i believe the UV is filtered.

i wear transition glasses (that auto-tint based on UV) and in all cars (including my MG) they never tint, as soon as i step out the car they do
