Hi all
having my new pre registered HS PHEV Trophy delivered next Friday.
Has anyone managed to buy gloss black MG front and rear 'over badges' that actually fit? I cannot remove the original badges as it is a lease car so just wondering if and where anyone has managed this purchase?
Many thanks

As an update, I ordered the gloss black badges from AliExpress as they stated they were for the HS facelift from 2024 onwards.
When they arrived they were massive. Shame as quality looked really good so now having to send those back, so if anyone has had success in buying the correct size boot and bonnet stick over MG logos in gloss black, then please share a link.

Many thanks all.

i thought they had them in amazon? that's where i bought them from previously

although i personally would just use PlastiDip.
a few coats and you are done and it looks a lot more professional

@fnegroni - only problem I have is that it's a lease car so ideally just want badges that fit over the originals.

- do you have an amazon link to the ones that fit from amazon because the ones I saw on there do not give the precise size of the badges?

precise size most don't give, so you'll have to order a few and return the ones that don't fit.

but as someone who has done both before (glossy cover using glue and plastidip) to a lease vehicle, i promise you plastidip is way better, and here is why.

You can easily remove plastidip. it just peels off with no residue.

Once the badge covers are stuck on, you need a heat gun to remove them cleanly and they will leave residue behind plus dirt and water will seep through and potentially discolour the original chrome.

Hi
Do the badges detach easily to plastidip them (I presume they have to be removed?)
Any other prep needed to coat the chrome?
Thanks for any info.

honestly just have a look on youtube for how to do it properly. and no, they don't have to be removed at all.

i must admit, for the first time i feel like i'm glad the MG logo stands out on my Urban. i think it's their most successfully executed model and it sits head and shoulders above the competition.

I will probably still black out the logos or indeed debadge it at the back leaving just the two chrome MG emblems. But not quite yet. i'll wait until there are more on the road.
So far i've seen ZERO!
