Set off in the Magnette yesterday but ended up in Linlithgow station car park three miles away. Bought a return ticket to Auld Reekie for £6.90 return. Couldn’t have parked there anyway but left the train minutes later in the very heart of the city. Wandered aimlessly for a while before having a Macwrap.
Continuing my journey, I found the Scott monument starting to glow purple from all the Christmas market construction around its feet.

Heading back, I found I couldn’t use my cheapo pensioner’s special basic day return ticket until the clock passed 18:15. So I had to retrace a bunch of steps and buy a coffee.
The first available train was at 18:40 so I was home again about 19:30 after a grand escape.
Note - very few watts were disturbed during this trip
