Great day out with your MG? Post up a picture ?

Missed out on that one, I've surfed the other side at Pt Lincoln, many years ago.
It was very wet on the way home across the Nullabor.

I posted some pictures in the thread about Archev's adventure in the Berlingo, but it's probably more relevant here. Went to the Borders Vintage Automobile Club's Classic Car show at Thirlstane Castle. Weather stayed dry all afternoon. More ancient ICE than you could shake a stick at, with MG in prime position in front of the castle. Two different clubs, one of which fed me cake - I think it was their 50th anniversary.

Turns out they're not at all prissy about electric MGs, if it has an MG badge, you're in and welcome. Quite a lot of EVs in the car park, actually, including a VW Buzz.

I also went round the castle which was interesting, although the usual Plastic Mac stuff on display as well as the historical items.

Archev seems to have had a different experience, but the people on both MG stands were absolutely OK about EVs when I spoke to them.

Glad the weather held off for you.
Archev now drives a French car, so that could explain his reception?

Although I think the Scots, French relationship is different to the English, French one

Very interesting how that blue really pops on the more mature MG as it does on the new MG4. Great pictures Rolfe.

I'd like to see that car and a Holborn blue MG4 parked next to each other!
The colour certainly looks to be close or at least complementary - aye it would be a fine photo.
I also liked the nostalgic old maroon over Biege MG Magnette that was parked down in front of the stand. Your picture just caught the tail half of it. Lovely old sporting saloon 👌

We've noticed previously that the blue in particular seems to change colour with the light, and I suspect that together in the same light they would not be the same colour. Unless of course the owner of the vintage car had it resprayed in Holborn Blue! But the colours are very similar.
