My cloak of invincibility seems to have stopped working for no apparent reason, should I do the spanner trick or take it back to the dealer? :)

Ouch. Good that you can still laugh about it. On a lot of EVs that would be a write-off.

Reversed really slowly into a telegraph pole... genuinely, really slowly...I was stationary about a metre from the pole and just edged back a but more - simply didn't see it there (I was lost, looking for a house number, and conscious that I was parked over a cycle lane on a main road).

Worse things happen... the funny (?) thing is, my insurance only renewed yesterday...

It must be something to do with #teamred...

reversing from a charge space, haven't a clue what it was...

being repaired next Thursday at home for £220

c'est la vie...

Oh, bad luck!!

Repair bloke (non-insurance) said £1100 + VAT for mine, not a new panel. I am incline to go through insurance but it'll surely affect my premium next year, even though I have protected no claims!!

I'm using a local company called Revive!. Have used them previously on a car park scrape inflicted on my previous car, a Polo in white, and when done it looked like new.

At £220, no insurance involvement and only a week's wait to have it done, it's a no-brainer. I'll post the after pictures on Thursday.

I had a slight incident with an Audi EVE a few weeks back when reversing out of a tight parking space.

Touched bumpers taking a layer of lacquer off mine and putting a slight 2-3cm crease in his.

Both could probably have been repaired by a company such as dent magic for a couple of hundred pounds but the other driver insisted it had to go through their insurance as it was a company lease car.

Hopefully it won't impact my premiums too much at renewal

Looks like you teamred lot are trying to slowly change to teamblack scratch by scratch!!! 😂😂😂 having taken the front end off mine I feel your pain and agree I’m not looking forward to my insurance renewal 😢

I posted at the back end of last month with the damage to my MG rear end... well, Revive have been and done the repair. It was due to be done a couple of weeks ago, but the paint (tri-pack) needed to be ordered...

Very pleased with the results at £222 all in. Great service by a pleasant lad.

Looks great.
Did they apply any Gaud X etc?
No idea, to be honest. I never thought to ask.

He knew it had been treated by the dealer though and there were loads of sprays and so on around the car by the time he was ready to pack up. Took around 6 hours to do with only natural breaks for stuff to dry/ heat and so on.

I was very impressed by how thorough he was.
