Have ordered a ZS EV, a couple of questions

Hi all,

I ordered a white trophy long range on the 16th May from Nathaniel Motors in Cardiff (nowhere near where I live but the 0% interest was too good to go anywhere else), I was just wondering if anyone could give me a few pointers?

Is there a particular home charger or type I should be looking for? There seems to be a lot of options.

On the off chance the car is delivered early (reading the posts I know that's unlikely) I've got a holiday in Scotland planned in September is Zap Map the best app for locating charging points, and is it worth subscribing?

I'm reading about charging cables being thrown in with purchases, did people enquire about this before making the purchase? I've got a feeling I've missed the boat on this.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

What delivery date did they give you as if it is the 'connect' model you might not get it this year☹
When you did the deal on the car did you ask for mats, mud flap or type2 cable or are you on the Affinity scheme?

They said 6 months, but just weary about being caught out as I ideally want the charger installed with plenty of time. I didn't discuss mats or type 2 cable when I purchased, so guessing that's a missed opportunity, bought it on a PCP deal so not on the affinity scheme

The granny should come as standard (do check), but not the type 2 unless you've bought the car via some type of scheme like Affinity or Motability, or the dealer is throwing extras in as part of an offer.

When it comes to any deal it's worth doing the homework beforehand on what peripherals you'll likely need, and then asking about their inclusion before putting money down. Don't let that stop you having a try even now though! You lose absolutely nothing asking the dealer anyway...the worst they can say is no, so it's worth chancing your arm - a few people have gotten their type 2 that way.

I got the one thing thrown in and chose the type 2 since it's the pricier item and there are plenty of mat options outside of MG... Check the Upgrade & Accessories section of the forum for suggestions.

When it comes to home chargers, I can't speak to that personally - you're best off reading the general section. There are multiple threads on the topic - just use the search function. A couple of examples:
