Have to use dealer bought car from?

Hi all,
I've got another dealer fairly close to where I live that looks a little more "up to date" with the tech and updates than my current dealer, the question is, can I take my car to any other MG franchise to get things serviced/looked at? Or do I have to stick with the place I bought the car from.
My gut instinct is that I can take it anywhere, but I'd thought I'd get a second (or third etc) opinion

My understanding is as MG supply the warranty/training and so on, you can take your car whichever MG dealer you want to have paid or warranty work carried out.

I think the only time you have to take it to any specific dealer for servicing is when you have taken out a service plan with them.
Any other time you can take it anywhere for servicing and any MG dealer for warranty work or updates.

Thanks all, I had the "free" service plan emailed to me directly from MG and it doesn't mention any dealer, so I might have a look around if needed.
