Have you noticed fuel prices going up

Well a government representative has said to keep to normal buying habits on fuel
A line from Men in Black came straight in my mind
" The person is smart , People are dum panicky animals "

I wonder if there will be a big uptake in electric lorries by hauliers just like electric cars have soared since the war in Iran started?
I've just been reading about German truckers who are €1200/month worse off in additional diesel costs as the price of diesel passes €2/litre.
Electric trucks are now almost €1800 cheaper to run than diesel.
Right let's give you some info
MERC E TRUCK takes 2 hours to charge on fast charger
Can only max gross 42T but weighs in with empty skeli trailer 16T 400kg
Lossing about 6t pay load on a standard 6x2 tractor unit and skeli with full tank of diesel
Range like Ev cars depends on W X Y Z and a non lead footed driver
Pay for charging network in uk no existent, you've got to be part of a group
Containers it's not that viable , supermarkets may be

It can carry/drag a max of 25 tonne load, is that correct. Is that because of legal weight laws or just the limit of it's ability to move around safely, 42T .....

Can you explain the 6 x 2, is it only a single axle drive?
The new Chinese truck being adapted by an all electric freight company, is the Windrose 700. Weighs in at 10.8 tonne, it can be loaded to a total of 49 tonne or 68 tonne as an A Double.
A claimed range of 670kms when in the 49 tonne fully loaded configuration, no idea if this has been put to the test up or down the Hume Hwy, but with the range, it would get from the major logistics hub at Prestons to the logistics hub in Broadmeadows outside Melbourne .... if they can boost that to the A double and 68 tonne, it will be the begining of the end for the diesel fuelled trucks on the Hume Hwy

Some of you may remember my saying when I got my car how far I had to go to find a petrol station and how blissful it was just to plug in at home. Well, the map of petrol station prices rather illustrates that.

The Merc is 2 axle
My DUF is 3 axle middle is a lift axle
Both rear axle
Yes it could but 24.5T to give leeway

Boss asked me to fill up the bus today, in case of any fuel supply issues going forward. (We've already had a stock runout at the local Sainsburys recently, but they've been restocked). So I did, at Sainsburys .. diesel at 181.9 per litre! 😱 Thankfully I have a fuel card, so it's not me paying for it.
