Heated seat and steering wheel keep turning off.

Nearly every time I put the heated seat and steering wheel on it turns off when the HVAC screen closes, I have to open it and turn them on again.
Am I missing a step or something when I turn them on ?

Sounds like a fault to me.

The car has to be in ready mode first or it will turn off again once you press the brake pedal. Always catches me out.

I think the wheel has a timer in case you forget your oven gloves.....

Good point, I don't remember if I put them on before or after pressing the brake, but from what you say it seems I'm probably doing it before sometimes.
