All. Bought home the Im6 but need help. Played around with the paddles on the steering wheel and now get strange icons on the screen like a small speedometer. How does the cruise control work on the Im6, tried you tube without success, honestly, for once in my life, STUMPED!!

Just pull the gear leaver down another notch when driving and cruise will come on. Use the paddles on the left to increase/ decrease the set speed. Paddles on the right to increase / decrease distance from vehicle in front. Pulling down on the gear stalk again will put you in pilot ( suicide) mode.
Hope that helps !

Thanks Don. What the hell is pilot (suicide) mode? Lee
Pilot is lane keep assist ( if you just leave a couple of fingers on the wheel it’s supposed to keep you in your lane - works 80% of the time) it will also change lanes for you as well, when in pilot mode if you indicate left or right it will move lanes for you - normally works quite well - but don’t rely on it !
I forgot to mention, there have been a few comments on here saying cruise / pilot won’t work until you have driven the car for a few miles, after that it comes on with a tug on the gear indicator.
I hope you enjoy your new car, yes it needs a few software updates but when they happen it will change from a good car to a superb one.

Coming from a Tesla model 3 with FSD
Thanks mate, won't do the automated thing lol. Appreciated for the info, gotta say, liking the car so far x

I would say don't be scared to use it. On motorways it is amazing and it helps you arrive rested wherever you go. Changing lanes is quite good too. Better than the Tesla equivalent.
Be vigilant though.
Do not use it in city though. It can negotiate turns quite well, far better than Tesla but traffic lights, cars parked outside the pavement etc cannot see.

I agree with your comments regarding cruise Nik ( apart from random breaking when passing trucks), I’m not so sure about pilot, mine struggles to keep in a lane and auto lane change is “sporadic “ at the best of times - updates we hope will sort it all out - still a superb car !

Interesting. Mine is really good on lane changing. Only once it refused to do so. I also have not noticed lane keeping issues and I really like that they have adopted the Tesla behaviour of the car pulling slightly towards the edge of the lane if you are passing by a HGV.
Didn't have phantom braking so far and it negotiates turns or curves better than the Tesla. I have seen people complaining that it slows down but for me this is more natural behaviour compared to the Tesla that was going gung ho on turns and curves and usually would disengage at the worst possible point.
