Hi all,
Does anyone know where the hill sensor is on the car? I'm thinking of tilting it down a bit so it doesn't know I'm going up a slight hill to stop it revving it's nuts off at 20 mph 😁

I don't think it will be as simple as adjusting a sensor, like it would probably be with an inclinometer sensor or something of that sort, and I don't know if there's a fuse to disable it, but if there is a fuse, it would be the easier option.
 
Is it not more likely a case that the battery is being depleted due to the hill and the engine is reving harder to recharge it?

Because it cannot recharge the battery quickly enough the engine is having to generate more power and hence rev harder.

I would be surprised if there is any sort of tilt sensor that causes this to happen.

There is definately a tilt sensor that sets off the engine on the slightest of inclines, on my car anyway. I can have 6 bars of batterie and the engine will start as I drive up to my house, same place, everyday without fail.
 
I don't think there can be a hill sensor. This stopping only occurs when the central button with the yellow light has been pressed and this holds the car stationary on both up and down slopes so once stopped a brake(s) is applied.
With uphill revving this must surely be determined by the resistance/load sensed by the system. When you boot it getting to motorway speed the engine revs rocket to give you what your accelerator is demanding. Similarly going up hill you will be applying a lot more throttle than on the level. Naturally a long hill will eventually kill the EV battery, so the engine then has to do all the work, with only half the torque/power at max revs to give its quoted 100 HP.
At that time then you just have a little 1500cc engine with its 3 speed box getting a heavier hybrid car up the hill and trying to charge the battery at the same time. Try the 1500cc ICE MG3s - they were dreadful getting up hills, needing 3rd and even 2nd gear sometimes - embarrassing!
