Hi does anyone have problems with the hill start assist sign coming on all the time, it keeps saying hill start assist unavailable at this time even when stopped at lights on flat surface.

Hill start assist is always on, but it shouldn't keep popping up warnings, unless it's broken.
To initiate it you have to press the brake pedal firmly, maybe you're pressing the brake too hard and trying to initiate it when it's not needed.

Thanks for that will check when braking.

For hill start assist to operate strangely you have to be on a hill. If you sit at lights etc on the level with your foot on the brake hill start assist will not work/is not necessary.
If you use autohold it will apply the handbrake for you so you don't need to sit with your foot on the brake pedal.

I have this warning message on now coming back from shopping along with No Stability control!!!!! Never had any warning messages before.

Not tried HSA on the flat but it does work downhill as well as uphill.
Autohold doesn't apply the handbrake (parking brake), it puts the footbrake on, on all four wheels, together with the brake lights.

The HSA & Stability control messages disappeared the next time I used it & they haven't reappeared (y)

Do I assume HSA is time-limited? Eg the time required to easily move one's foot from brake to accelerator or vice-versa?
