(Granny charger)

For some reason when the car is on charge and the doors are locked when I reapproach the car to open it. On many occasions, the car stops charging?

Am I doing something wrong?

I think the car is preparing to be used so it aborts the charge and releases the charging cable. If you lock your car again, it should restart charging after a minute or so.
This is the case using a type 2 charger, haven’t had the need to use the granny charger yet though.

I am having work done at the house and I’m awaiting for my Tesla wall charger to be fitted once Solar Pannels are fitted, so I’m having to make do with the painful slow process of granny charging!

I will try The method you stated with the granny charger and see how that plans out.

Yes and it does not do this with Rapid chargers (keeps charging).
