Is there an OBD thing for this car?

Recent mileages indicate the battery capacity is low, maybe 80 miles per charge....

If I can check it, I can see if the battery warranty will kick in...

I use this with my MG5 and car scanner.
Do you charge it to 100% monthly and leave it to do a battery balance?

Thanks for that...

Yes I normally balance the battery every couple of weeks or so.

This run yesterday, some 300 miles from Norfolk to Wales was after several days of rapid charges.

The car is 4 1/2 years old with some 46500 miles on it, and these low mileage runs were on motorways...

The trip you did was presumably on as much motorway or dual-carriageway as possible - the worst type of trip for an ev! You don't give much info, but starting with 100% charge, say 150 miles max, so you rapid charge at about 130 miles, gives you a max of about 125, so following two rapid charges at 100 miles should get you there.
That's what I would try in my similar car, so 3 charges en-route.
However, that means no heat, no blower, and about 60 miles an hour max, and not too much weight on board. Any change to those items could easily lead to 80 miles per charge. As a backstop calculation, I know I can only just do a 65 mile return trip on a full (ie 7kw till full) charge, getting home with about a 15 mile left.
