I'm joining the S5 forum

Couldn't resist the temptation to make you chaps a bit jealous, but the MG S5 Excite (base model) starts at a tad under AUD$41,000 here in Oz. That's less than £ 25,000! ... Electricity prices (and therefore home charging costs) although on the rise, are a lot cheaper too, but If you have rooftop solar, that makes it a very cheap car.

To be fair, you can get an MGS5 Trophy
(Top model) for less than 25 grand, over here. As for Leccy prices, naff all, we can do about um. But there's obviously certain ways of, minimising the cost. 🙂👍

I had the same issue as many providers dont have the MG S5 in their database yet. You would think they keep up with the new model releases.
If you read my later post #10 it explains that my current insurer (Aviva) did insure the car it's just that they classified it as a hatchback not an SUV so when doing the search manually as opposed to using the reg number it didn't show up.
