My S6 infotainment has been fine since I bought it at the end of January and it is.now virtually unusable
Android Auto crashes/resets every 5 or so minutes.
The infotainment system itself is running like an 80's PC that's run out of RAM and is experiencing 100% CPU utilisation...
Every button press (when you can) has about a 25 seconds delay before anything happens.
I factory reset the whole thing last night and it's made bugger all difference....
Reading the S5 Facebook group and it's awash with people experiencing exactly the same things...across the world.
So it's either a botched OTA update or some issues with the Chinese servers...which as per my original post, then poses the question.."why are these cars in constant communication with China"?

Hi, same problem as everyone else but it started on Friday 13th??. Not sure what you can do, I will try a hard reboot of the entertainment system to clear the cache. How do you find out what is the upto date software version? I didn't think the S5 did OTA updates?

Same here, it keeps rebooting is very laggy, after reversing drove off and went for 5 miles with just front camera on nothing would shift it. Has there been some sort of botched update tried or is it a disconnect battery for 10 mins time?

No UK MGs have done any OTA updates, the are supposed to be coming to the IMs at some point.

All these issues are like history repeating itself, sounds exactly like the wife's MG 4

Just turn off data (swipe down from the top, click data) worked as a workaround for me. Took a minute or two to return to normal after turning it off but it's been solid since. Absolute carnage fallout from this im sure.

Disabling data helped for me - at home it was set to connect to WiFi so im hoping ismart will still work for heating etc. Also that way I'll be able to see the traffic with tcpdump...

How does that work with the vehicle turned off though?
Surely the WLAN disconnects when you lock the vehicle?
